Q-Mic QM-50 Pro Mic Arm with 16′ XLR Cable

  • The QM-50 is built for rough studio work, 42″ from base to spud
  • Includes an integrated 16′ XLR cable and a standard 5/8×27 mount
  • Includes a c-clamp for desk mounting and a universal mic clip
  • Huge springs hold even the heaviest mics.
  • Compare to cheaper units that are 2 leg compared to our 3 leg tripod support

The QM-50 has been the choice of professionals around the world for over 5 years. With it’s integrated 16 foot XLR cable, long reach of over 40″, and the ability to hold any mic in your closet, this is the one to buy!

Compare to the influx of cheaper units that don’t really mention the differences. Most are far smaller than our 42″ reach, and almost all of them have 2 legs from the bottom to the 1st hinge, while our QM-50 has 3 leg tripod support. Compare their small springs to our massive 5lb springs. There is a difference, just compare before you buy.!

I bought this arm to go in my garage studio for Pod casting and a little internet radio broadcasting with my son. This arm works great. I have 2 desks in a L config and it will reach all spots. More importantly it stays where you put it. I will purchase another one in the near future, my son wants his own arm.

I went for the low-cost alternative, and as they say “you get what you pay for.” Spend a few dollars extra for the Rode or at least go to the Heil. This product is serviceable, but doesn’t have the size or the flexibility of the other units. I’ll stay away from anything that says “Q-Mic” in the future.

I recently purchased a QM-50 mic boom and installed it. It works as advertised and is a good value, especially compared with more expensive competing products. However, if your intended mounting location is not a flat surfaced lip (allowing the included clamp to grip securely), then the optional MAK (Mount Anything Kit) provides a variety of additional base hardware, greatly expanding the number of potential QM-50 boom mounting locations. Specifically, I bolted the round base supplied in the MAK to a corner of a steel file cabinet next to a desk. The 40-inch balanced, QM-50 articulated boom arm easily and securely swings the mic over to the operator’s working desk position.
