The Personal Shopper: Annie Valentine Book 1

From the British publisher of Sophie Kinsella and Kathy Lette comes a story of love sprinkled with fashion.
A personal shopper in a swish London store, Annie Valentine can solve everyone’s problems, except her own.
She’s a busy single mother of two, but could there be a gap in her wardrobe for a brand new man?
Finding the perfect partner turns out to be so much more difficult than sourcing the ideal shoes…

It’s really hard to read a book that has no paragraphs.

I can handle single quotes where I’m used to seeing double quotes, I can handle run-on sentences, I can handle creative spelling.

Having no indentation or spacing or any kind of formatting to differentiate one paragraph from the next is too hard to read.

However, the three pages that I did read sound interesting.

Annie Valentine is personal shopper at the “The Store” on of London biggest fashion spots. And when she not trying to help her customer re-invent themshelves, is dealing with her two teenage children Lana and Owen, trying move up the London property ladder, and making sure that the check to the kids school does not bounce. But the one thing that Annie is missing is man for herself. But after a few failed dates it seem that Gray may be the one. But Annie soon finds out that just because someone dresses right that he the right man for her.
I have to admit that “The Personal Shopper” by Carmen Reid sat unread on my bookcase since it came out in 2007. But after some guilt and a vow to read the books that I had. I have say that I am sorry that this book sat for so long. “The Personal Shopper” is a great book for the summer time beach read. The characters were interesting and it was able to hold my attention. I know that once I get some more of the unread books finished I will be ordering the other in this cute series.
